Your privacy

Enrolling in the course

When you enroll, we ask for your name, e-mail address, country, city, CISSP experience level and, if you choose, your job title. We use them to process your enrollment request and to contact you about course access. Your details stay on this site and are not passed to another course platform. An automated security check protects the form from abuse.

Enrollment records are kept while you are a student. Requests that are rejected, duplicated or invalid are deleted after 90 days. Access to the Student Area follows your course enrollment.

Signing in to the Student Area

When you sign in, your e-mail address is checked against your course enrollment and a one-time code is e-mailed to you from course@haniasaad.com. Your sign-in lasts 6 hours and is kept in a cookie in your browser; signing out removes it.

Asking Hani AI

The text of your question is processed by an AI service to find the right course passages and build the answer. Your questions and the answers are not stored. The conversation exists only in your open browser tab and disappears when you reload the page or sign out. Please don't type personal or confidential information.

Hani AI's answers may include short, labelled passages from CISSP Scope, Hani's CISSP study material. They are shown only inside an answer, never as whole sections, and nothing about them is stored for you.

If you try Hani AI on this website without signing in, your network address is used, in coded form, only to count free questions.

Your progress

The Student Area saves which lessons you open or mark as done there and how many questions you ask Hani AI (never the questions themselves), so you and your instructor can see your progress. It is deleted 12 months after your last activity, or earlier on request.

Practice questions: the Student Area also saves which option you choose for each practice question and whether it was right, so you can see your score for each domain. You can reset a domain at any time, which deletes its answers.

ExamSim practice exams

When you open ExamSim from the Student Area, ExamSim creates your free practice-exam account under a coded ID, never your name or e-mail address. It saves your attempts, the answers you choose and your scores, so it can score your exams, pick questions you have not seen yet and show you your results. After an exam you see your overall score and your score per domain, not the correct answers.

Your ExamSim records are separated from you 12 months after your last use of ExamSim, or earlier if you ask.

Premium and payments

When you buy Premium, you pay on PayPal's own page. PayPal processes the payment under its own privacy terms and receives your name, e-mail address and payment details; we never see your card or PayPal account details.

We keep a payment record (the PayPal order reference, the amount, the status and the dates) and your Premium dates, linked to your coded student ID. These records are kept for 5 years after the end of the year of the payment, also when your progress is deleted, and then deleted. We send you a welcome e-mail after the payment and reminders 30 days before and on the day your Premium year ends, from course@haniasaad.com.

Mentor meetings

You book mentor meetings on Calendly, which shows the available times of your mentor (Hani or another professional) and creates the video-meeting link (today Google Meet). Calendly receives the name, e-mail address and time you enter, and Google (Calendar and Meet) receives the meeting details, under their own privacy terms. In the Student Area we record only the dates of the meetings that took place, so you can see how many you have left.

Security records

For security, a record of each request is kept for 7 days, including your network address, device/browser type and approximate location. Only the course administrator can see them; they are deleted automatically.

Usage logs are also kept for 7 days, with counts and timings only: no question text, answer text or e-mail address.

Cookies and other services

The Student Area uses one cookie, only to keep you signed in, and ExamSim uses one more for the same purpose on examsim.haniasaad.com. This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

Course videos and lesson materials in the Student Area are stored with Cloudflare, which already hosts this site, and are shown only to signed-in students. The course introduction videos are on YouTube, and donations and Premium payments are made through PayPal; these services work under their own privacy terms. We do not receive your card details.

Your choices

You can stop using the course and the Student Area at any time. To ask for a copy, a correction or the deletion of your information (your enrollment, your course account, your progress or your ExamSim records), write to course@haniasaad.com. Payment records are kept for accounting even when other information is deleted.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
